Gambino Vini

Italy

Linguaglossa

Situated on the northeast side of Mt. Etna, Europe’s most active volcano, offers a unique vineyard experience. Founded by Vittorio Raciti and Maria Gambino 40 years ago, the winery is known for its commitment to quality over quantity.

Their meticulous vineyard practices and careful grape selection, along with a special microclimate and volcanic soil, result in high-quality wines. They cultivate indigenous Etna varieties, protected by the ETNA DOC appellation, known for their acidity, sapidity, and aging potential.

In 2012, Gambino built a sustainable winery integrated into volcanic rock, employing modern techniques. They also produce Etna Spumante Maria Gambino Metodo Classico Brut, a sparkling wine aged for 48 months.

Taliano Michele

Italy

Montà d'Alba

Taliano Michele Agricultural Company, located in Montà d’Alba in the Roero region, owns vineyards in Roero and the Barbaresco area, specifically in San Rocco Seno d’Elvio.

The company traces its roots back to 1930 when it was founded by Domenico Taliano, part of a family of farmers known locally as “Re Cit,” meaning “little kings.” They have a long history of vineyard and field work in the region.

Initially, the vineyards were all within the Montà municipality, in areas like Bossola, Rolandi, and Benna. However, in the mid-1970s, under the leadership of Michele’s son, Michele, the company expanded into the Langa region, acquiring vineyards and a farmhouse in Montersino, a hamlet of San Rocco Seno d’Elvio, situated between the municipalities of Treiso and Barbaresco.

In the mid-1990s, Michele’s sons, led by Alberto and later joined by his brother Ezio, who is the company’s winemaker, revamped the company by modifying grape production and wine aging methods.
